Every few years, the global web-hosting ecosystem gets shaken by a familiar tremor: cPanel license fee increases. Unfortunately, 2025 has brought another round of these hikes - and once again, hosting companies worldwide are forced to adjust pricing accordingly.
At Namhost, we always do everything possible to shield our customers from unnecessary costs. But since these new fees are tied directly to cPanel’s licensing model, updating our cPanel hosting prices has become unavoidable. Updated pricing will take effect on 1 January 2026.

Why These Increases Are Happening
cPanel continues to operate on a per-account licensing model, which has changed dramatically in the past five years. Hosting providers no longer pay a simple fixed server license - instead, the cost now scales with account count, and cPanel has increased these rates several times.
As a result, every hosting company using cPanel, globally, is affected. No exceptions. No workarounds.
Despite this, we stayed committed to keeping pricing stable for as long as possible. But with this latest increase, continuing at the old rates is no longer feasible.

What’s Changing (and When)
The new cPanel hosting prices will take effect on: 1 January 2026
A few examples from the updated pricing table:
- Lite Shared Hosting increases from N$95 → N$105 per month
- Advanced Shared Hosting increases from N$138 → N$152 per month
- Premium Shared Hosting increases from N$245 → N$270 per month
- Lite Reseller increases from N$400 → N$440 per month
(VPS and Dedicated servers are also affected at 6–7% increases, but these cannot be migrated to DirectAdmin automatically. Please contact us if you would like to discuss VPS/Dedicated Server migrations.)
