This article will show you how to manually configure your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to read emails from your email account(s).

Before you start, you'll need the following:

  1. Your email address: user@example.com
  2. Your email password.
  3. Choose between POP or IMAP - Please see this article for more details.

Please follow these steps:

  • From the Home screen, choose "Settings".
  • Next, tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
  • In the Accounts section, tap "Add Account".
  • Choose your email account type. Tap on "Other"

  • Select Add Mail Account under the Mail section.

  • Enter your account information.

  • Please note: Replace 'mt-example.com' with your domain name

    1. Incoming Mail Server
      Host Name: mail.mt-example.com
      User Name: john@mt-example.com (Use the full email address as the username).
      Password: If you do not know your password, you can reset your email password via Control Panel.
      POP3 Port: 110 or IMAP Port: 143
    2. Outgoing Mail Server
      Host Name: mail.mt-example.com
      User Name: john@mt-example.com (Use the full email address as the username).
      Password: If you do not know your password, you can reset your email password via Control Panel.
      SMTP Port: 25
  • Once the email configuration is added, tap Next to continue.
  • Choose what information you want to sync with your device and tap Save to save the entered information. Your mobile device will then verify your account information.

  • Upon successful completion, you will be taken back to the Mail screen. Your account will now be listed in the Accounts section.
