Setting up a forwarding email address can have a lot of advantages compared to multiple email addresses. In principle it's the same as forwarding an email using Outlook (or any other email client); only that it's done automatically by the server for you.
Forwarding various emails to one address can help you better manage all your email addresses from one account.
It can also save you precious disk space if you forward the emails to a free email service like Gmail or Yahoo!. The reason is that these forwarded emails won't be stored on the hosting account or server they were created on and will just be passed along to the forwarding address and stored there.
Duplicating email addresses
Forwarders are also used to duplicate an email, although this may sound strange; in practice, it's a good way for small or large businesses to provide their teams with easy access to email addresses for specific purposes.
For instance, if you receive an email that needs to be shared with others in your team like info@youraddress.com; it can be forwarded to tim@address.com, jess@address.com, and jack@address.com automatically without any input from you.
This means you can create an email address that people can send emails to without that email address physically receiving the email and that is shared among the emails connected to it.

Setting up an email forwarder
Login to your hosting account by following the extension of cPanel for your domain, for example, www.yourdomain.com/cpanel.
After you logged in to your hosting account scroll down to the Mail block section and click the forwarder icon.
Single or multiple forwarders
On this page you have two options:
- Create a single forwarder for a specific email address or...
- Create a domain forwarder, which will forward all emails to that domain to the specified email account.
Just to be safe we recommend you only use the first option mentioned above because forwarding all emails with your domain's extension to your main email address will have the unwanted result of increased spam or other messages easily finding their way to your inbox.
Just click the button that says "Add Forwarder" and you'll be taken to a page where you can fill in the details for your forwarding address.
After filling in the fields indicated above, click the "Add Forwarder" button at the bottom.
Once the settings have been saved, you'll find your new forwarder in the list provided where you can make changes to it whenever you wish.
