Namhost does not enable SpamAssassin or any other spam software by default.

The result is that often when you move from an existing host, where spam software was enabled.

You now no longer have this feature and the previously blocked spam does get through.

However this is not an issue as you can easily enable spam protection in cPanel or Plesk Panel.

There are various reasons for email problems so the best solution is to identify the problem.

Please try the following:

  1. Make sure you enter the entire e-mail address as the user name e.g. "someperson@namhost.com" and not just "someperson"
  2. Make sure you can log into your mailbox: www.namhost.com/webmail
  3. Make sure you use mail.namhost.com as both smtp and pop servers www.namhost.com/webmail.

  1. The error messages that you are receiving.
  2. Information surrounding the issues you are having with your email.

To activate an email address with your BlackBerry, just complete the following steps:

  1. Locate the set up folder.
  2. Click on "Email Settings".
  3. A listing of various email providers will now be displayed
    1. If you are have a Yahoo, Gmail or Windows Live email address, highlight the appropriate icon and click "Next".
    2. If you have another email address, select "Other".
  4. Insert the email address and password.

Note: This feature must be supported by your service provider.

Email setup on blackberry smart phone

This will depend on which server your using, the details for each are as follows:

CPanel

  1. Log into your CPanel account.
  2. Under the Mail block click Email Accounts.
  3. You'll presented with a form where you can set up new email accounts by filling name and password of the email account you which to create.

Plesk panel

  1. Log into your Plesk panel account.
  2. Under the Mail block click Create E-mail Address.
  3. You'll presented with a form where you can set up new email accounts by filling name and password of the email account you which to create.

This would depend on wish application you are using to manage your emails on the web.

By default the Plesk and Cpanel use the Horde application.

  1. Log into your Mailbox by visiting the www.namhost.com/webmail
  2. Click on the Inbox on the left hand navigation.
  3. Tick the mail that you wish to delete or select all by using the drop down selection at the top of the Inbox.
  4. Just click the delete link at the top and your done deleting your emails.

The better option is to have your email client delete old emails periodically.
